Organisation Description:
Pacific Energy Vanuatu, a subsidiary of Pacific Islands Energy (PIE) in Singapore, with businesses in the Pacific Islands, is seeking talented individual for the role of Financial controller based in Port-Vila, Efate.
Job Desctiption:
The ideal candidate will be directly reporting to the General Manager, and will be responsible for:
- Implementing, maintaining and ensuring compliance with operational and accounting processes and all internal controls
- Performing audits on critical processes of the company
- Proposing corrective action plans that define concrete objectives, specific operators, and strict deadlines
- Assisting the operational supervisors in controlling their day-to-day operation and in the implementation of the new processes
- Debtors management which include review and follow up on all overdue amounts in conjunction with other finance staff members.
- Inventory Analysis and Reporting with a strict reconciliation between physic stock/sales system/accounting system, in conjunction with the operational stock controllers.
Selection Criteria:
It is desirable that the applicant has essential knowledge and skills :
- Master's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience (in the petroleum industry would be a considerable advantage)
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Very high attention to detail, accuracy and consistency
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Advanced skills in MS Office, especially Excel
