We are small boutique hotel located right in the center of Luganville town in Santo. Managed by two brothers for the last 8 years, we have grown to be one of the busiest and preferred accommodation for our wide variety of clienteles

Job Description
The Espiritu Hotel is looking for an experienced Ni-Vanuatu Head Chef. This is a perfect opportunity for those who are originally from Sanma and would like to return to their homeland with a secure full time job at one of the busiest restaurants in Santo. The candidate will be overlooking the entire operation of the kitchen and will be working closely with management and FOH to ensure smooth F&B operation.

- Directing the entire menu process from planning, costing, portioning, cooking to plating presentation
- Delegating tasks to ensure prep work and a clean & tidy kitchen is always up to standard
- Attention to detail with strong focus on food consistency & portion control
- Timely ordering of goods to ensure supplies are well stocked at all times
- Ability to improvise if certain equipment and/or ingredients are not available
- Arrange for repairs and servicing when required
- Rostering of kitchen staff
- Leading the environment for a passionate and enjoyable workplace among co-workers in the kitchen
Selection Criteria
- 5 Years as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a reputable restaurant or hotel kitchen
- Genuine passion for cooking and creating
- Must be well organised and disciplined
- Must have great communications skills and ability to follow up
- Leader by example
