Chief
Archivist, National Archives of Vanuatu (Ref: Archives Act of 1992)
The Vanuatu National Cultural
Council (VNCC) wishes to recruit a suitable individual for the position of
Chief Archivist, National Archives of Vanuatu.
Basic Function
Manages the National Archives
of Vanuatu, advises the Government of Vanuatu (GoV) through the Minister
responsible for archives and the Vanuatu National Cultural Council (VNCC) of
the Archives’ status, and recommends proposals regarding development,
expansion, and utilizing of the Archives.
Criteria:
- The Chief Archivist will have
a tertiary qualification (preferably in Archives Studies, Library Studies,
History, Law or Records Management) and at least four years’ archives
experience. The Chief Archivist will be able to work in all languages –
Bislama, English and French.
