Job Description:

The Vanuatu Services Commission wishes to recruit an experienced and qualified person to fill the position of Director, Department of Cooperative, Ministry of Ni-Vanuatu Business Development. The Office of Public Service Commission will provide any person with information package containing details of the above vacancy including duties & responsibilities and reporting arrangements.Further information, including the provision of an information kit for persons interested in applying for this position can be obtained from the Human Resources Management Unit of the Public Services Commission. Applicants will be assessed against the following selection criteria below. (Both men and women are invited to apply.)

Criteria:

Qualifications - University Degree in Accounting, Commerce, Economics, Resource Economics, Business Management or other such technical fields and experienced Special Skills - Be computer Literate, Must have Driving licenses, Good Communications and Analytical skills. Experience - A minimum of 5 years relevant experience of working at the policy and planning level either as Business Adviser, Economist, Accountant, or other equivalent experience gained elsewhere such in Rural Development; Thinking Style - Practical, creative and analytical thinker;  Communication/Interpersonal Skills - Good communication skills. Proactive and innovative; Behavioral Competences - Honest, reliable and confident. Language - Must be proficient in writing, reading and speaking English and or Bislama.
