| | The URA was set up under the Utilities Regulatory Authority Act. No 11 of 2007. |
| | The Authority acts independently of the Government the primary purpose is to increase access to safe, reliable and affordable electricity and water services, and to promote the long-term interests of consumers throughout Vanuatu. In addition, the Authority manages the consummers disputes and advices the Government on matters related to electricity and water. It also reviews |

| | The Utilities Regulatory Authority (URA) is still seeking the service of a Principal Finance Specialist - Utility for a one (1) year contract, renewable for another year and is seeking Expression of Interests for this position |
| | The primary responsibilities of the Principal Finance Specialist: |
| | Utility Regulation include, but are not limited to the economic regulation of water and electricity subject to the Utilities Regulatory Authority Act No. 11 of 2007. |

| | Criteria: |
| | An advanced degree in finance and accounting/economics/engineering; At least 8 years experience in finance, accounting including economics analysis and finance modelling, consulting and project management. |
| | Proven experience and track records in regulation, preferably for utility and services; Proven track record in capacity building and training activities; |
| | Proven track record of a successful work as member of a diverse team; Excellent oral and written communication skills; Fluency in written and spoken English in mandatory, knowledge of French and Bislama an |
