The Vanuatu meteorological and geo-hazard department (VGMD) and national disaster

Management office (NDMO) have secured funding from the World Bank for two large-scale

National adaptation and disaster risk reduction projects designed to address of Vanuatu‘s

Immediate climate change adaptation needs and mitigate natural disaster risks.

The finance manager and Procurement Adviser will work with the PMU/VMGD in the

Implementation of these two projects with the respective implementing agencies. The procurement

and Finance Management Adviser will be contracted to ensure that appropriate procurement

Planning and implementation, financial control and reporting are met during the course of the

projects, and to build capacity of the PMU for financial management and procurement.

The Finance Manager and Procurement Adviser will be contracted for 2 years renewable, and be

based in the VMGD project management unit.
