| | The ombudsman invites applications for the public post No.0929 for an investigator. Applicant must fill the public services job applications form (PSC form3-2) that can be collected from the office of the ombudsman. Duties and responsibilities: |
| | 1) Manage with the assistance and supervision of the principal investigator or manager leadership a portfolio of complaints (including reviewing all cases in the portfolio at least once are year) |
| | 2) Cary cout investigation by, receiving complaints, preparing complaints information’s forms and a work plan, research applicable laws, interviewing parties and witnesses, preparing sworn statement , obtain relevant documents and analyze relevant evidence to determine appropriate disposition of a complaint, drafting investigation closure memoranda, report |

| | 3) Submit files and case summaries to lawyers for assessment |
| | 4) Assist with public awareness meetings on efate and other islands |
| | 5) Other and investigative tasks set forth by the ombudsman. |
| | Criteria: |
| | - Previous work for an investigator officer or constitutional is an advantage; Computer literate and good communications skills; Demonstrate the ability to write letters write public reports; Research |
| | applicable law; Completion of year 12 and university entrance |
| | - Good command of english and /or french and bislama; Good character. |
| | Salary: |
| | The salary will be based on the public service salary scale at As3.0, Vt 1,058,400 per annum. |
