The utilities regulatory authority (URA) is an independent statutory authority established as the economic regulator for pricing, access, standards and monitoring of concession agreements for electricity and water services throughout vanuatu. The authority invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the position of financial analyst/economist within the

URA. Further information and a copy of the job description can be obtained from the office of the utilities regulatory authority, ground floor, VNPF House, Lini highway. Both male and female applicants are encouraged to apply. Duties and responsibilities:

1) Reporting directly to the chief executive officer (URA)

2) Responsible for evaluating financial performance of water and electricity utilities and making financial projections for individual utilities

3) Developing appropriate financial targets for utilities and identifying opportunities for performance improvements

4) Assisting with the economic regulation of water and electricity, including determining appropriate tariff structure and level

5) Providing advice to the government of vanuatu as required.
