Position Overview

The Technical Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the overall maintenance and upkeep of the company & maritime fleet. Under their supervision, the technical team ensures the availability, reliability, and safety of the vessels, while managing the resources and logistics required for these operations.

Key Responsibilities

1.Maintenance Management
• Ring that all mechanical and electrical equipment is in proper working order.
• Develop and implement maintenance procedures and schedules to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime.

2. Team Management
• Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate members of the technical team onshore and onboard vessels, including engineers, technicians, and maintenance personnel.
• Encourage the professional development of the team and foster a culture of high safety and performance standards.

3. Logistics Management
• Oversee the management of spare parts, fuel supply, and logistics required for fleet maintenance.
• Establish partnerships with suppliers and service providers to ensure resource availability.

4. Regulatory Compliance
• Ensure compliance with local and international maritime regulations regarding maintenance and safety.
• Coordinate necessary inspections and audits to ensure adherence to standards.

5. Project Management
• Supervise major projects involving vessel repairs, upgrades, or enhancements.
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure successful project outcomes.

Working Conditions

The Technical Manager may be required to travel on the company's vessels and work at sea for limited periods. The position may also demand availability beyond regular working hours in case of emergencies or critical repairs.

Reporting

The Technical Manager reports directly to the company's management and collaborates closely with other departments, particularly the maritime operations management.
