The Shifting the Power Coalition is comprised of women's rights and disability organisations across the Pacific region working together to strengthen diverse women's voices, agency and decision making in disaster preparedness, response and recovery.
ActionAid Vanuatu is an independent ActionAid Federation entity based in Port Vila. AAV is empowering Ni-Vanuatu in times of crisis to become galvanising community leaders.
Job Desctiption:
The National Coordinator Shifting The Power Coalition (STPC) is a newly created position to coordinate activities of the three Shifting The Power Coalition members in Vanuatu, Vanuatu Disabled People's Advocacy Organization, Vanuatu Young Women For Change and ActionAid Vanuatu. The candidate will be responsible for assisting in organising the three members to do joint planning, developing cohesive work plan and MEAL framework.
Selection Criteria:
Demonstrated experience in program management
Has experience managing collectives or collectives
Is committed to promoting Ni-Vanuatu women's rights in the community
Understanding of humanitarian system ,women's rights and climate justice issues in Vanuatu
Qualitative analysis skills and basic statistical analysis skills.
Strong written and visual communication skills
An ability to work with rural women, with diverse stakeholders with differing levels of education and experience
Project management skills and an ability to balance multiple projects and stakeholders at one time
Experience in development of work plans and budgets
Professional Fluency in Bislama and English
