The Espiritu is a small boutique hotel located in the center of Luganville town in Santo. Managed by two brothers for the last 9 years, The Espiritu have grown to become one of the busiest and preferred accommodation provider for our wide variety of clienteles.

Job Desctiption:
The Espiritu Hotel is looking for an experienced Ni-Vanuatu Sous Chef. This is a perfect opportunity for those who are originally from Sanma and would like to return to their homeland with a full time job at one of the busiest restaurants in Santo. The candidate will be assisting the Head Chef to overlook the entire operation of the kitchen and
will be working closely with the Head Chef and FOH to ensure smooth F&B operation.

- Directing the entire menu process from planning, costing, portioning, cooking to plating presentation
- Delegating tasks to ensure prep work and a clean & tidy kitchen is always up to standard
- Attention to detail with strong focus on food consistency & portion control
- Timely ordering of goods to ensure supplies are well stocked at all times
- Ability to improvise if certain equipment and/or ingredients are not available
- Arrange for repairs and servicing when required
- Leading the environment for a passionate and enjoyable workplace among co-workers in the kitchen

Selection Criteria:
- 3 Years as Sous Chef in a reputable restaurant or hotel kitchen
- Genuine passion for cooking and creating dishes
- Must be well organised and disciplined
- Must have great communications skills and ability to follow up
- Leader by example
