Job Description:
We invited from suitable experience and qualified applicant for the position of General Manger of BRED Bank Vanuatu to be based in Port Vila. Reporting to the Chairman of the Board of Directors, this position will effectively and efficient manage the business of Bred Bank Vanuatu; creating shareholder value and driving performance to the satisfaction whilst managing the highest ethical standards and adopting the best practice policies and procedures through out the organization. additionally, it Chairs the Executive Committee and responsible for the business of subordinate committees. 

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • work with support the Board of Directors in developing the vision for the future of Bred Bank reflecting the current and future needs of shareholders, customer and staff, identified objective and milestone for the short, medium and long term
  • Implement short and medium term strategic plans, whilst correctly managing the resource of Bred Bank's cost effectively and to efficiently achieve such objectives
  • Monitor the performance of short and medium plans in order to quick identify and address  areas of weakness that may impact upon the achievement of strategic milestone and objective 
  • Act as the prime agent for change providing effective direction and firm leadership to senior managers, management and the staff of Bred Bank Vanuatu, in implementing the vision for the bank, communicating enthusiastically the strategies and plan for the future
  • Generate a culture of continuous improvement across all levels of the bank by personally demonstrating and realizing a commitment to meeting the highest ethical, business and quality standards
  • Assure the implementation of best practices in governance,encouraging other to comply with legal, regulatory and personal obligations
  • Provide timely and meaningful report to the Board of Director on all aspects affecting the performance and reputation of Bred Bank, ensuring that any problems are identified and dealt with effectively at an early stage to minimize potentially adverse repercussions.

        Experience, Qualification and Capabilities

        • Minimum of 12-15 years senior management experience in a financial environment with at 5-7 years in a strategic role
        • A degree in finance, business, banking or a related field
        • Exceptional leadership and influencing skills combined with excellent communication skills
        • Proven track records in formulating and implementing effective strategic business goals
        • Demonstrated ability to keep abreast of global and national and local political and economic development and to identified the potential impact of these on the business of Bred Bank
        • Maintains boards knowledge of current best practice, policies and methods across all areas of Bred bank's business.

        This is a full time and permanent position. A competitive remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
