About this role
The Gender Justice Program Manager is responsible for providing effective leadership and management of the Oxfam Gender Justice Program in PNG. Major duties and responsibilities include:
  • Lead on the delivery of all elements of the Gender Justice strategy and back donor objectives.
  • Ensure that appropriate monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) occurs across Gender Justice activities including reflection workshops, mid and end term evaluations, regular reviews of MEL frameworks.
  • Ensure that reporting requirements and standards are met in a timely manner.
  • Be a source of information for and take an active role in the development of concept notes, proposals and bids for funding.
  • Oversee financial management of all Gender Justice related programs, including developing annual budgets, budget forecasts and ensuring financial procedures are followed.
  • Explore and build strategic networks with key stakeholders nationally, in support of the Oxfam Gender Justice Program, and oversee the technical inputs sourced externally.

        Criteria:
        Qualifications and Skills
        • A degree in a relevant field e.g. social science, gender or international development  and/or comparable professional experience
        • Extensive experience in developing, designing, implementing, monitoring and managing gender
        • Sound understanding of theory related to gender-based and sorcery related violence, and skills in applying these to program and strategy development
        • Experience in developing and strengthening relationships with government and non-government organisations, and with the private sector, in order to further develop program and foster their sustainability
        • Experience in monitoring & evaluation methodologies
        • Experience overseeing budgets and managing staff.
