| | Job Description: |
| | The primary responsibilities of the Part-time Commissioner include, but are not limited to the economic regulation of water and electricity subject to the Utilities Regulatory Authority Act No. 11 of 2007. |
| | Criteria: |
| | a) Possesses tertiary qualification in Business Administration or Finance/Accounting/Law/Engineering, Economics or Public Policy |
| | b) Have worked at least 10 years in private, government organization, academic or a relevant Non Government Organization (NGO); |
| | c) Must have demonstrated track record in organizational leadership and consensus building, stakeholder relationship management. |
| | D) Preferably have some experience and understanding of key elements of electricity and water utility operations, Finance and economic regulation, dispute resolution, competition issues. |
| | e) Ability to articulate Commission policies and decisions to the public and policymakers; |
| | f) Knowledge and experience of electricity and water sector issues in the South Pacific region and/or other small island economics is highly desirable; and |
| | g) Fluency (written and spoken) in English, |
| | h) working knowledge of French is highly desirable; |
| | i) Must be a ni-Vanuatu citizen |
