| | The Shefa Provincial Government Council wishes to recruit a suitable person for the position of Physical Planner. |
| | Duties and responsibilities: |
| | 1) To assist in the implementation of the Physical Planning Act No.22 of 1986 and other physical planning legislation as required |
| | 2) Administration of applications under the Physical Planning (CAP193) and foreshore development (CAP90) Acts |
| | 3) Providing accurate advice on physical to area council, communities and other agencies as required |
| | 4) Provide information and respond to queries on Physical Planning |
| | 5) Understate field surveys and collection and analysis of data as require and to prepare suitable plans for record purposes |
| | 6) Understate site visits or survey in the province and application sites |
| | 7) To attend various meetings as required |
| | 8) Checking of planning applications and keeping the register |
| | 9) Must provide capacity building on area secretaries/area councils on zoning and Physical Planning developments in the physical planning zone in Shefa. |

| | Criteria: |
| | - Minimum age 30 years |
| | - Desirable to have degree or diploma in urban and regional planning, geography or a related subject |
| | - Five years planning in government or public sector |
| | - Proficiency in spoken and written English, French, and Bislama |
| | - Working knowledge and computing literate; Positive working attitude. |
| | Salary: |
| | Category C in the Local Government scale. |
