| | Peace Corps Vanuatu wishes to recruit five Ni-Vanuatu persons for the short-term position of Language, Culture and Technical Trainers (LCTT5). |
| | The contract will commence on Monday, September 17, 2012 and will finish on Friday December 14, 2012. Selected candidates will be required to live in a village with a host family for most of the contract period. A statement of work can be obtained from the Peace Corps office, located in the Vila Mall building. |
| | Duties and responsibilities: |
| | 1) The LCTTs will provide Bislama language training to the new Peace Corps Volunteers while facilitating their understanding of Vanuatu’s culture |
| | 2) The LCTTs will also assist with the facilitation of basic technical skill competencies, specific to the volunteer assignment, therefore experience in the education, health and business development sector is advantageous. |
| | Interested applicant must have the following: |
| | Criteria: |
| | - Successful completion of Year I2,Year 13 is preferable; Experience as a trainer, preferable in language and culture |
| | - Basic computer literacy (MS word and excel); High level fluency in English and Bislama; An understanding and appreciation of Vanuatu Culture and living life in a rural location |
| | - A basic working knowledge of development in one or more of the following sectors, education, rural development, health and business development |
| | - A positive attitude and an enthusiastic outlook on life. |
