Job Desctiption:
• At least 10 years of full-time mechanical work experience repairing heavy- duty trucks and /or
construction equipment that demonstrates the ability to perform the primary duties of the Job
• Vocational certificate in repair of heavy automotive or diesel equipment, or journey level status;
• Skill in dealing tactfully and courteously with co-workers and customers;
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of diesel engines and gas engines in small
trucks and cars. Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair and maintain drive train components, electrical systems,
hydraulic systems, hydraulic and air brakes, suspension systems and a variety of clutches on trucks and
related equipment. Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair and maintain hydraulic systems, undercarriages, tracks,
sprockets, cutting edges, rollers, cooling systems, and all power train components on heavy construction
equipment. Troubleshoot diagnose, repair and maintain Caterpillar electronics and use a computerised
scan program.

Duties include conducting general maintenance on property structures and facility equipment, performing inspections to detect any issues that require immediate attention, ensuring all tools and equipment are in good working order, responding to emergency repairs, and ensuring the right amount of inventory on hand of all maintenance supplies at all times.
Selection Criteria:
Previous working experience as a Maintenance Worker for at least 2 years
In depth knowledge of air conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical systems
Hands on experience with hand and electrical tools
Physically fit to do maintenance work
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Hold a current driver's license
