Organisation Description: 
Nasama Resort on Pango Road is an upscale beach resort comprising of 43 self-contained apartments.

Job Desctiption:
• Ensure all resort apartments, restaurants and resort grounds are maintained to the highest standards.
• Liaise with Operations and Housekeeping Managers to plan, schedule and dispatch daily tasks.
• Fast response to resolve emergency issues (e.g. power and water outages).
• Manage and monitor work performance of maintenance and gardening teams.
• Inspect and repair various energy systems such as solar heating and cooling systems, plumbing, lighting, kitchen and bathroom equipment, swimming pool.
• Repair floors, roofs, and doors and install new products such as windows, carpets, and light fixtures.


Selection Criteria:
• Fluent in English language.
• Building experience with knowledge of carpentry and repairs to simple electrical problems, small appliances, refrigeration, air-conditioning, solar systems.
• Experience in supervising a maintenance and gardening team.
• Current and clean automobile driver's licence an advantage.


Salary:

RESTAURANT MANAGER

Organisation Description: 

Café Vila is a successful modern tropical style restaurant located at Nasama Resort on Pango Road.

 

Job Desctiption:

• Report to the Food & Beverage Manager.
• Supervise the entire operation of the restaurant during scheduled shifts.
• Ensure all staff are punctual and well presented.
• Ensure chefs follow menus; check quality, portion sizes and presentation of food; check meals to out in a timely manner.
• Train and check wait staff on quality of customer service, food and wine service, table set up.
• Meet and greet customers and ensure customer satisfaction with meals.
• Handle any customer complaints in a calm and professional manner.
• Check daily stock levels and order supplies.
• Perform and analyze monthly stock takes.
• Order and shop for supplies required during shift.
• Prepare cash drawers and top up petty cash as required; balance the cash received at the end of each shift.

 

Selection Criteria:

• Experience as Restaurant Manager in a restaurant or hotel.
• Fluent in spoken and written English. Knowledge of French an advantage.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Knowledge of restaurant POS system.
• Experience in stock control.
• Able to train and manage restaurant staff.
• Able to work nights, weekends and public holidays and be flexible with shifts.
• Able to drive with current driver's licence an advantage.

 

Salary:

Good pay based on experience and skills.
