Job Desctiption:
Pacific Energy (PE) in PORT-VILA invites applications from suitable qualified persons for the position of an HSSE/FLEET Supervisor to be based in its terminal in Port-Vila/Efate.
Purpose of Role:
To manage to the safe work environment through promoting a safe workplace culture and leading Health, Safety, Security & Environmental (HSSE) awareness to reduce the number of incidents & injuries and ensure the safety management system is developed, implemented and maintained.
Additionally, to manage the fleet of the terminal to reduce risk of equipment failure.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Manage the HSSE in Pacific Energy Terminals of Port-Vila and Tanna
• Ensuring Safety Inductions are carried out for all in the terminal,
• Ensuring PE Policy is implemented and applied by PE staff and contractors
• Ensure PE meets its HSSE objectives and KPIs
• Identify and organize staff training
• Coordinate and manage all HSE related activities such as meetings, tool box, inspections, audits, etc…
• Record and track all HSSE statistics
• Investigate and report all accidents within the time frame set forth by the company
• Write procedures, safe work instructions and safety alerts to maintain HSE system and inform workers
• Assist HSSE Officer of other PE locations in Vanuatu
Secondary Responsibilities:
• Manage the fleet of Port-Vila and Tanna Terminal
• Coordinate the fleet maintenance system
• Manage drivers and ensure they comply with Customer Service expectations
• Assist Fleet officer of other PE locations in Vanuatu
Selection Criteria:
Qualification / experience:
• University level
• A degree in HSSE would be an advantage
• Minimum of 3 years in a similar position
Special skills:
• Valid driving license would be an advantage
• Team Leader
• Can work in a Team
• Can work under pressure
• No restriction working days and hours
Language:
Must be fluent in French, English and Bislama
