The Australia Pacific Training Coalition (APTC) is a center for training excellence and collaboration, working in partnership with regional governments, industry and TVET training providers to develop a more skilled, inclusive and productive workforce aligned with domestic and international labour market requirements and enhancing Pacific prosperity.

Job Desctiption:
The Student Support and Welfare Officer will be responsible for the support and welfare services of students upon arrival in Vanuatu ensuring that activities undertaken are in accordance with APTC policies and ensuring an environment conducive to learning is provided for all students. The position will involve all aspects of student support, welfare and guidance.

The Student Support and Welfare Officer will report to the Operations Manager, Vanuatu and works closely with the Administration Officers.





Selection Criteria:
1. Degree level qualification in related field or post-secondary/TVET qualification and demonstrated experience in related field.
2. Sound understanding and experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, specifically adult students.
3. Proven ability to exercise judgement in the application of policies and procedures.
4. Demonstrated ability to work independently and with others, innovatively solving problems within complex organisational systems.
5. Excellent time management skills, with the ability to manage heavy workloads, maintain accuracy and meet deadlines. An ability to work under pressure to resolve issues with limited assistance.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated high-level skills in the application of the Microsoft Office suite of programs, and corporate systems (e.g. CRM).


Salary:
Vuv 2,018,589 per annum, inclusive of 4% superannuation.
