Managed by two brothers for the last 10 years, The Espiritu have grown to become one of the busiest and preferred accommodation and car rental service provider for our wide range of clienteles domestically and internationally.
Job Desctiption:
Training will be provided for the following Hotel Receptionist responsibilities:
- Bookings and reservation management via a variety of different mediums such as emails, Travel agents, OTAs (Expedia, Booking.com), phone calls and walk-in. Any changes in reservation must also be updated accordingly.
- Managing our reservation software (Resbook) daily and ensuring all bookings are catered for in the system and information relayed to appropriate departments.
- Payment handling via our POS system which include cash, cheques, LPOs and credit card payments. Credit card payments would also incur in occasional refund transactions, pre-authorizations and daily settlements.
- Minor accounting duties such as daily records of all income streams and proper filing of all relevant documents
- Checking in and checking out guests in an efficient yet friendly manner
- Daily liaising with department heads for repairs and guest requests.
- Tour bookings and general tourist advice as well as taking restaurant takeaway orders over the phone.
- Car rental booking management, filling in rental agreement forms, letting cars out and checking cars on return.
Selection Criteria:
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role (Office secretary, Data entry, Office Administration, Accountant and any other computer based jobs)
- Fluency in Bislama and English is a must. Fluency in French is a bonus but not essential
- Experience with MYOB or Xero will be a big advantage but not essential
- Competent with Email, Excel and Words
- Competent in basic mathematics
- Willingness to learn
- Good communication
- Must be punctual

The Pacific Sports Partnership (PSP) is an Australian Aid funded program with regional sports organisations in the Pacific to deliver targeted sport for development activities. The overall goal of Pacific Sports Partnerships Let's Swim programs in Vanuatu is to provide the opportunity for ni-Vanuatu to develop the life skill of swimming in an open and supportive environment.
The PSP Swimming program, administered regionally by Swimming Australia, Ltd (SAL) and Oceania Swimming Association (OSA), works with Wan Smolbag and Vanuatu Aquatics Federation through to deliver aquatic programs for social development in SHEFA province.
Job Desctiption:
You will lead a team of 12 people in implementing this program across 12 communities in SHEFA.
This main responsibilities of this position are:
• Ensure effective and inclusive strategies for activity delivery are developed
• Organise programs and activities in accordance with the PSP workplan and budget
• Work with local government, sporting bodies, NGOs and private sector stakeholders to ensure the program goals are met.
• Identify and analyse program risks
• Manage a team with of both full time and part time staff and volunteers
• Ensure activity and reporting timelines are met
• Manage a budget and operating plan for the program
• Identify training and upskilling activities for the program
• Taking note of all major activities and outcomes to be included in the report.
• Identifying training and upskilling activities
• Ensuring M&E department collect relevant data and ensure they are aware of activities.
• Completion and submission of reports in a timely fashion.
Selection Criteria:
• 3+ years experience in managing people
• 3+ years experience in implementing community programs that empower youth and women
• 3+ years experience in building and maintaining effective relationships with communities and governments/NGOs
• Displays commitment to Vanuatu Aquatics Federation's purpose and values in all interactions.
• Behaves in an honest and trustworthy manner, treats others fairly, maintains high levels of confidentiality, and is open about one's own misjudgments or mistakes.
• Displays a high level of attention to detail
• Displays commitment to safety and swimming
• Ability to write clear and comprehensive reports to donors

We currently have an opportunity for a Team Leader Property to join the Fund.
Reporting to the Executive Manager Finance, Investment and Properties, the position will enable the successful incumbent to lead and co-ordinate all activities within the Property Department with the aim to deliver investment objectives of the Fund.
