    The Efate Land Management Area (ELMA) is a proposed conservation area within central Efate, the aim of which is to preserve Efate’s water sources and catchment areas, wildlife and resources for the benefit of the environment and future generations. The ELMA Project Officer will assist in the continued development and implementation of the ELMA project. The position requires a broad skill set for a motivated and committed individual. Project work will include undertaking a community environmental education program, developing high level environmental management plans, assisting in custom land negotiations, implementing on-the-ground environmental management, developing project grant applications, and liaison between the local communities, chiefs, conservation committees, provincial and national government.     As a qualified professional and functioning under general supervision, the Programming and Training Specialist (PTS) has responsibility for supporting the planning, developing, implementing and administering of Peace Corps Vanuatu: (1) Volunteer support system (2) Volunteer small grants program and (3) Peace Corps Response Program. The PTS will serve as a member of the project team providing volunteer support directly to Volunteers, while assisting in all programming and training activities. The PTS implements approved activities relating to Peace Corps small  grants program; acts as the staff liasion for Peace Corps Response, and plugs gaps identified in general volunteer support.
