Guard Island Security LTD (GIS LTD) is a security company that started its services on the 1st of April 2013 and has over 100 static security guards working with customers in different sectors around Port-Vila. We also provide random roving patrols services around Port-Vila residences. Static guards' patrols are monitored by our RFID pointing system and also random roving patrols.
Our company's main focuses are professionalism, customer services, confidentiality, commitment and trust. We maintain constant effort in putting in place an effective system to monitor our static guards, our patrolling services and our services in alarm monitoring.
Job Desctiption:
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Security Supervisor/Patroller to join our team. As a Security Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing all security operations and ensuring the safety of our clients' facilities, assets, and personnel.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and direct a team of security officers and ensure their compliance with policies and procedures
- Conduct regular security patrols and maintain a safe and secure environment
- Develop and implement security plans, protocols, and procedures to ensure effective security operations
- Conduct investigations and reporting incidents as necessary
- Liaise with local law enforcement, emergency services, and other stakeholders
- Train and mentor new security officers and provide ongoing support and guidance
- Ensure compliance with all safety and security regulations and standards
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Selection Criteria:
- Proven experience as a Security Supervisor or similar role
- Excellent knowledge of security protocols and procedures
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Ability to work in a diverse environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work on different schedules as required
- Physical fitness and ability to stand/walk for long periods of time
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be able to pass a background check
