Job Desctiption:
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Construction Manager to lead and oversee our construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
• Project Management:
o Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets.
o Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
o Ensure adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and safety regulations.
o Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution.
• Technical Expertise:
o Review and analyse engineering designs and specifications.
o Provide technical guidance and support to project teams.
o Troubleshoot technical issues and propose innovative solutions.
o Ensure compliance with building codes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Team Leadership:
o Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
o Delegate tasks effectively and provide clear direction and guidance.
o Develop and mentor team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
• Financial Management:
o Manage project budgets, track costs, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
o Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for management review.
• Client Relations:
o Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
o Communicate effectively with clients, keeping them informed of project progress and addressing their concerns.
o Manage client expectations and deliver exceptional customer service.
Selection Criteria:
• Certifications: Certifications in construction management, such as CCM (Certified Construction Manager) or PMP (Project Management Professional), can be an advantage.
• Experience: Significant experience in construction or a related field, often ranging from 15 years, with progressive responsibility in project management or supervision.
• Knowledge of Local Regulations: Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and construction standards is crucial.
• Project Management Skills: Strong skills in project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation are essential.
• Leadership and Communication: Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage teams, liaise with clients, and coordinate with various stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving Abilities: Capable of identifying issues on-site and implementing effective solutions quickly.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment.
