Job Description:
Reporting into the Manager for SPC Solomon Islands,
the purpose of the role is to coordinate the implementation of Cyclone PAM
recovery activities in 4 countries, across SPC divisions to ensure that results
are achieved, reported and learning that is shared. Responsibilities will also
include:
- Coordination of reporting, including financial reporting to the donors and countries involved
- Administration for all funds received relating to implementation activities of the more than 30 projects in the four countries: liaise with finance officers across all divisions with budget line items, and ensure accurate reporting to SPC’s Noumea-based Finance Unit; ensure that spending is in line with SPC’s financial obligations
- Support divisions with procurement activities, which adhere to SPC’s procurement guidelines: ensure that procurement is completed within time frames to achieve project outcomes, and that procured items are successfully delivered in a timely manner and within budget
- Ensure that all government focal points are kept informed of SPC’s activities relating to this project on a quarterly basis, either in person or via Skype meetings.
