Criteria:
We are looking for a WASH
Officer (Trainer) to join our team based in Tanna, Tafea Province with travel
to Outer Islands. 
The
WASH Officer (Trainer) would be
responsible for working with the government Rural Water Supply (RWS) Department
and community WASH Committees to improve and maintain the safety and security of
their drinking water. The successful candidate would have experience working in
a WASH-related field, have the ability to mobilize community members, and
deliver clear messages. The role requires strong communication skills and the
ability to work in a team and coordinate with government, community, and other
WASH organizations in Tafea Province.  
 
Required qualification and skills
 
A Diploma with
relevant skillsKnowledge of one or more of the
following: public health, hygiene promotion, plumbing, civil engineering,
construction, education, or community water supply and sanitationAbility to identify risks and
mitigation measures in water supply systemsAt least two years of practical
experience in community development, health, WASH, or similar programs and
ability to mobilize communitiesWritten and oral fluency in English,
Bislama, and Tanna local languages requiredDemonstrated awareness and sensitivity
to the particular needs of women and other marginalized people in WASHDemonstrated ability to take direction
and to work as part of a teamAbility to work well under pressure
and in response to changing needsStrong communication skills and
ability to deliver clear messages to large groupsAbility to work independently and
efficientlyProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel,
Power Point, and Outlook, or the ability to learn quicklyWillingness to be based in Tanna and
travel to the outer islands.
