overseeing the financial reporting cycle for Vanuatu Utilities &
Infrastructure Ltd and apply principals of accounting in conformity with US
GAAP to analyse financial information and prepare financial reports by
performing the required duties personally, or through delegation to assigned
staff.
Direct and oversee all of the financial activities, to include the preparation of current financial report and forecasts for future business growth. Key responsibilities include: - preparation of budgets and financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, tax returns and reports for Government regulatory agencies; - Contribution to the achievement of the company objectives by providing advice and guidance on financial strategy; - Develop and maintain all accounting procedures and systems used by the Company and ensure compliance; - Review reports and analyse projections of income and expense against actual figures and suggests methods of improving the planning process; - In conjunction with the Chief Financial Officer and General Manager, assess the long-term financial trends and review prospects for future growth of income and new product areas; - Ensure the Company meets its financial and statutory responsibilities. |
