The Organisation

Consulting Vanuatu Ltd manages the Vanuatu Health Resource Mechanism (VHRM) on behalf of DFAT’s Australian Aid Program. Under this mechanism, advisers are engaged to work within the Vanuatu Ministry of Health to provide support in systems strengthening and capacity building.

The Position

This role will be responsible for entering and uploading site survey information into the new Asset Management Unit's online database from paper documents and a shared hard drive.

Essential Selection Criteria

► Knowledge and experience of, and preferably certificate in, Microsoft Office products (Word and Excel).

► High School graduate with additional professional studies

► Experience using office equipment including scanners.

► Good personal organizational skills, with an ability to stay focused on assigned tasks.

► Good typing speed and accuracy.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Controller / Assistant Financial Controller, the duties for this role will include: Provide an efficient and accurate Accounts Payable Service Work closely with all departments at the Resort Follow correct procedures so that payments can be made in an efficient manner Obtain monthly statements from creditors Ensure all invoices are cross-matched against orders, quoted prices are correct and VAT rules applied Perform weekly/monthly creditors reconciliations Process overseas payments and settle general/overhead creditors Liaise with government departments such as Labour, Immigration, VNPF, VAT, VIPA and others Maintain proper supporting documents and filing systems for all payments Investigate any dispute or long outstanding payables Perform other related duties, as assigned by the CFO and his absence the Assistant Financial Controller.
