Job Description:
  • Able to plan, organize and direct the preparation and cooking of food ensuring that the company’s reputation for quality is enhanced with customers and clients at all times

    Oxfam in Vanuatu Mid Term Review (MTR) for the Vanuatu Country Strategy 2015 – 2019

    Oxfam in Vanuatu is looking for a consultant to conduct a midterm review of their 5 year Country Strategy (2015 – 2019).  This is an exciting opportunity to support the Oxfam team to reflect on their strategic progress to date, and to propose recommendations for the Oxfam team to consider for the remaining time of this strategy.  The consultancy will facilitate a 3 day workshop in Vanuatu with staff and partners, and use the findings combined with insight from reports and other key documents, to write an informed annex for the current Country Strategy.
      
    By the end of the consultancy, the consultant will have produced:
    1. A workshop report outlining the process, the findings and recommendations
    2. An annex for the current Country Strategy
    3. A learning paper on how Oxfam in Vanuatu is progressing in its Oxfam 2020 journey regarding promoting local leadership and talent.

    Duties and responsibilities:
    • Prepare and prosecute criminal appeals in the Court of Appeal and Supreme Courts, and trials in the Supreme Courts and Magistrates Courts

    • Liaise with and advise investigators
    • Lead a prosecution unit, and supervise and mentor other prosecutors
    • Carry out such other duties as may be assigned by the Public Prosecutor.

    Prescribed minimum qualification
    Education:
    • Recognized university degree in Law or a French equivalent. A post graduate in law degree would be an advantage
    Experience:
    • Admission as a legal practitioner without condition; high standard of relevant advocacy experience; sound human management skills, and good communication and inter-personal skills.

    The salary scale of this post is PL 6.5 which is 3,527,600 vatu per annum.
