As we are expanding we invite applications for the role of Call Centre Reservations Officer to be based at our office in Lakatoro, Malekula. 

You will be responsible for answering enquiries from tourists and other intending visitiors to Malampa Province, converting those enquiries into bookings for accommodation and tours, liaising with tourism, operators invoicing, and other office duties.
Criteria:
  • Able to communicate fluently in spoken and written French and in spoken Bislama
  • Be competent in written and verbal English
  • A minimum of 2 years experience as secretary, receptionist, sales or in another customer service role
  • Competent in the use of word processor, email and web browser computer programs (e.g. Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook and Internet Explorer)
  • Able to learn new skills under training ad supervision, e.g. use of reservation software, weekly website editing tools, MYOB, and Excel
  • Able to advise customers and allocate bookings in an impartial manner
  • Accurate with numbers and arithmetic and experience with cash and banking.

Salary:

Up to 40,000Vt/month (depends on experience).

OBJECTIVE:
To maintain and repair a fleet of Hotel rental vehicles, ensuring they are in a safe and suitable condition for all customers.

This position reports to the Manager.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary Responsibilities
  • To diagnose mechanical issues for each vehicle
  • To repair mechanical issues for each vehicle
  • Repairs must be completed efficiently due to quick turnaround time of the rental fleet
  • Maintain an  orderly and tidy workshop (all tools provided)
  • Responsible for ordering correct vehicle parts and accessories
  • Responsible for making sure the vehicle is both mechanically fit and that the vehicle is clean and presentable for customers.
  • Test drive (before and after) and wash all vehicles prior to rental
  • Work in coordination with Hotel Receptionists to be aware of rental booking schedule.
Criteria:
Essential Skills
  • Minimum work experience  of 8 years required
  • Experience in rebuilding diesel and petrol engines
  • Experience in mig and oxy welding
  • Ability to work alone and self-manage workload
  • To take pride in your work ensuring that repairs carried out a completed to a high standard
  • Current Drivers License.

Desirable Skills (but not compulsory)
  • Experience working on outboard motors
  • Experience assembling maintaining and operating a 2 and 4 post hoist
  • Experience in repairing damage to car body
  • Experience operating and maintaining a tyre changer machine.

Live & Learn, a dynamic and rapidly growing regional environmental NGO, is seeking an experienced expert in Communications and Monitoring and Evaluation. This position will provide support and training to our Vanuatu office, to ensure projects undertake appropriate monitoring and evaluation and to ensure enhance communications around lessons learnt.
