                          		Job Description:
                          CARE is an international humanitarian and development organization fighting global poverty, with a vision to which focuses on empowering women and girls to fight poverty and bring lasting change to their communities.                           We are looking for a Driver to join our team based in Tanna, Tafea Province.
                          The position shall be responsible for safe transportation of CARE staff and material and up-keep of the assigned vehicle. The ideal candidate will have a certificate in auto mechanics and two to three years relevant work experience. Ability to drive a four-wheel drive vehicle in difficult road conditions and to manage vehicle and passenger safety is essential.


                          Criteria: 
                          • Valid Vanuatu Driving Licence 
                          • Minimum five (5) years’ experience as a driver for NGO’s, Government departments or the private sector (NGO experience will be well regarded) 
                          • Mechanical Knowledge: Experience and knowledge in checking oil, fuel, water, tires, brakes and other electrical systems before, during, and after journey. 
                          • Four-wheel driving experience: Experience in driving heavy loads in sometimes difficult conditions on slippery, poorly maintained roads and experience in recovery once stuck or bogged 
                          • Punctual, proactive and a good communicator 
                          • Oral fluency in Bislama and Tanna local languages with Basic English 
                          • Must be Tanna based
