Peace Corps Vanuatu wishes to recruit a highly qualified Ni-Vanuatu professional as a Senior Level

Programming Manager. The Program Manager is responsible for the design, implementation and evaluation of

Peace Corps Programs. The Program Manager will supervise and support up to forty Peace Corps Volunteers with assignments on over twenty different islands in Vanuatu.

A qualified candidate for this position must demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and attitudes below:

Criteria:

- A well developed understanding of sound and sustainable development theory and real world application. This must be demonstrated and made evident in previous work experience and documented

accomplishment;

- Demonstrated project design and management skills; Proven experience in problem solving, managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines for time critical issues;

- Strong writing skills particularly suited for the preparation and writing of monitoring and evaluation reports and project planning documents; Demonstrated capability to design and deliver adult training;

Highly developed analytical skills and the capacity to apply these skills to Peace Corps projects

- Demonstrated skills in administration and the proven capacity to manage budgets; Proven initiative and resourcefulness and the capacity to work with minimal direction while exercising good judgment,

maturity and flexibility

- High level of computer literacy including previous experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, e-mail and the Internet,
