Job Desctiption:
A Licensed Pharmacist is a healthcare professional responsible for safely dispensing medications, reviewing prescriptions for accuracy, and providing expert advice on drug use, interactions, and side effects. They ensure patients understand how to take their medications properly and comply with legal and regulatory standards to promote safe and effective treatment.
Selection Criteria:
1. Educational Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (BPharm or equivalent)
2. Licensure
Must have passed the national licensure examination
Must be registered with the local pharmacy regulatory authority
3. Experience
Previous work experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy (preferred)
Familiarity with pharmacy software systems
4. Skills
Strong knowledge of medications, interactions, and proper use
Good communication and customer service skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage inventory and ensure proper drug storage
5. Compliance
Knowledge of and adherence to pharmaceutical laws, ethics, and safety standards
Physically and mentally fit for the job
Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays if needed
