Job Description:
OPERATION TEAM
The Operation Team is set up to carry out SPBD’s mission to fight poverty through the provision of business training, unsecured credit and ongoing guidance and motivation to low-income women of Vanuatu. The Team is responsible to grow the loan portfolio while balancing both portfolio quality and client outreach considerations. The Relationship Team is the public face of SPBD, handles the credit relationship between SPBD and members and ensure members’ business success.

 JOB PURPOSE
The Operation Manager’s job is to lead SPBD’s lending operations and supervise all lending staff. The OM ensures that SPBD is client-focus and client-responsive. The OM ensures that SPBD stay focus on serving the poor, achieving outreach objectives and keeping the loan portfolio healthy.

Reports to: The General Manager.

Supervises: Center Managers/Team Leaders/Branch Manager

 OVERALL DUTIES:
  • Evaluate and approve loan applications
  • Ensure proper application and compliance of credit policies
  • Promote SPBD credit outreach program
  • Monitor, enhance and manage portfolio quality 
  • Promote and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Manage BM / TL / CMs’ and their workload
  • Recruit, hire and develop staff
  • Planning, product development and reporting
  • Public relations
Other: 
  • Cover for other Loan Officers in their absence
  • Attend training sessions, seminars and other functions as approved by the President or the General Manager
  • Assume other duties as directed by the President or the General Manager from time to time.
