Job Description: Join the happy team at Café Vila! We are looking for an energetic Restaurant Duty Manager experienced in working in a busy fast paced environment for our very successful and busy restaurant. Criteria: Candidates should possess the following skills and be able to execute the following duties under the direction of the F&B Manager: Able to work shifts including nights, weekends and Public Holidays Proven work experience as a Restaurant Manager with strong leadership, motivational and people skills Possess food and beverage knowledge, with ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and wait staff Familiar with a restaurant POS system Able to supervise restaurant staff and operations during scheduled shifts Able to oversee the dining room, check-in with customers and balance seating capacity Ensure restaurant runs smoothly and customers have pleasant dining experiences Lead by example and motivate staff to provide superior food and beverage service to maximise customer satisfaction Respond efficiently and satisfactorily to customer complaints Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to F&B Manager to improve productivity Estimate future needs for goods, kitchen utensils and cleaning products. Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations Manage restaurant’s good image and suggest ways to improve it Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices.
