The
Vanuatu Cricket Association (VCA) is the national governing body for the game
of cricket in Vanuatu and one of the country’s leading sporting organization.
The association is now welcoming applications for the position of Sanma Cricket
Development Officer based in Luganvlle, Santo. 
 
The
Sanma Cricket Development Officer is responsible for the operation of all
cricket activities in Samma Province. 
Duties
& Responsibilities
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Reports
to the Administration OfficerIncrease participation in schools &
communities throughout Luganville, Santo and SanmaImplement education and training
strategies for schools by conducting teacher in-service training. Follow up on
all teachers by assisting them on running cricket clinics in schoolsWorking with the Training &
Education officer assist with producing coaching, scoring and umpiring
resources for teachersConduct cricket development clinics
within the VCA Outreach program including in schools, Primary School Sports
Associations and Secondary School Sports AssociationsConduct Cricket campsConduct Cricket I Blong Evriwan
programsAssist with the coaching and
umpiring of junior and senior competitionsWork with Vanuatu Cricket
Development Officers to improve the community cricket programsAssist with data and statistics
input into a databaseWrite regular press releases and
send to the media officerProvide regular updates to the
Vanuatu Cricket OfficeIdentify junior talent and submit
to Vanuatu CricketAssist with the implementation of
Women’s cricketCarry out promotion activities
with/for VCA sponsorsOther duties as required by Vanuatu
Cricket General Manager and Board. 
Criteria: 
Be committed to working with and helping
children, women, the disabled and all other new cricket participantsHave an understanding of the game of
cricketBe willing to work towards becoming a
Level 1 and then Level 2 cricket coachBe able to write schedules that do not
clash with other activitiesBe able to roster Assistant Development
Officer to carry out tasksBe able to communicate rosters and
schedules to everyone involvedHave knowledge and understanding of
basic computer skillsStrive for excellence in the work placeShow initiative by organising tasks
without being told to from the Port Vila OfficeBe prepared to talk with other Vanuatu
Cricket staff about new ideas and what Vanuatu Cricket is doingBe prepared to be a role model for all
cricket players and Vanuatu Cricket Rostered Development OfficersAbility
to uphold the Spirit of CricketAbility
to uphold the ICC and VCA Code of ConductAbility
to adhere to the Anti-Racism, Anti-Doping, Anti-Corruption and Child Protection
Policies of the VCA and ICC.
