Job Description: 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities 
In conjunction with the Managing Director: 
Develops and maintains a human resources system that
meets top management information needsOversees the analysis, maintenance, and communication of records required by
law or local governing bodies, or other departments in the organizationRecruits, interviews, tests, and selects employees to fill vacant positionsPlans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude towards Company goalsAdvises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issuesResponds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programsAdministers benefit programs such as life, medical insurance, vacation, sick
leave, leave of absence, and employee assistancePrepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts
exit interviews to determine reasons behind separationsPrepares reports and recommends procedures to reduce absenteeism and turnoverContracts with outside suppliers to provide employee services, such as
temporary employees, search firms, or relocation servicesEnvisioning and maintaining office systems, including data management and
filingArranging travel, visas and accommodation and, occasionally, travelling with
the manager to take notes at meetings and provide general assistance during
presentationsScreening phone calls, enquiries and requests, and handling them where
appropriateMeeting and greeting visitors at all levels of seniorityOrganising and maintaining diaries and making appointmentsDealing with incoming email, faxes and post, often corresponding on behalf of the
managerOrganising and attending meetings and ensuring the manager is well prepared for
meetings. |

Criteria: 
Knowledge & Experience: 
An HR qualification or similar is ideally required The post holder must have
strong user level IT skills, especially MS Office Suite including PowerpointMust speak Bislama & English, with French an advantageBe able to explain employment standards and legislation such as workers
compensation, labour standards, VNPF and the Vanuatu Employment ActPrevious Human Resource experience within a large organisation (especially Hotel/Resort)
is an advantageExcellent interpersonal skills are required, able to liaise and work closely
with people at all levels, as well as external contacts. |
