Job Description:
We are looking for a Resort Maintenance Manager with experience and a motivated person.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintenance of all Resort/Jewel Casino buildings
- Building of new bungalows and other structures
- Supervise, lead, motivate, train and direct all building and maintenance staff
- Organize the sketching of various building works needed from time to time in
the Resort and work with architects where needed
- Strongly liaise with external suppliers on the purchase of material and labour
required to perform building and maintenance works at the Resort
- Ensure effective and efficient operations and maintenance of the facilities
surrounding the resort;
- Comply and enforce safety and environmental requirements
- Ensure quality service is delivered to Management and fellow staff
- Prioritize project work and activities
- Continuously inspect buildings and equipment for needed repairs and maintenance
- Ensure that all vehicles and equipment are kept continuously clean and free
from damage and that all users operate them responsibly
- Report all incidents punctually to management
- Operate necessary building and maintenance machinery and obtain all necessary
safety certifications
- Ensure cost controls and resources utilization are effectively managed
- Mitigate all risks at the property such as fire prevention
- Ensure the protection and safety of tools from damage and theft
- Continuously suggest to management improvements that will be required in the
Resort
- Participate in weekly meetings
- Achieve budget and cost controls pertaining to building and maintenance
- Assist in the building of the facilities required from time to time.

Criteria:
- Four (4) years experience in a similar position within
a resort or hotel
- Degree from an accredited university or educational institution related to
Building, Construction, Engineering and Mechanics will be an advantage
- Proven technical training in plumbing, electrical, air-conditioning and
concreting and painting.
- Team player that is able to grasp “the big picture
- Effective trouble-shooter and problem solver who is experienced with developing
and managing complex improvement projects managing and operating a large facility
- Managerial experience including budgeting, forecasting, labour scheduling,
personnel administration, work order tracking and various record-keeping
duties.
