| | Friends in Action (FIA) – is seeking a worker for the position in Santo. FIA is looking for this person to also do research and development needed for FIA to provide a small scale flight service to remote locations w/a small airplane. |
| | Interested applicant must possess the following requirement: |
| | Criteria: |
| | - Must have a heart to help and willingness to communicate well with the Ni-Vans; Must be trust worthy; Have strong self initiative, and be highly motivated; Must have a minimum of 5 years work |
| | experience; Previous management or supervision of 3-8 workers; Good people skills |
| | - The ability to work well with people from various cultures, background, beliefs, and with government officials; Must know English fluently, required to learn bislama of not a Ni-Van; Willing to work |
| | 5.5 -6 days weekly, long hours, in rough remote locations; Willing to find your own sponsorship/support to live in Santo, Vanuatu (No wage will be provided, but a tax receipt will be send to your |
| | - Previous experience on survey projects; Ability to use the computer type survey equipment; Ability and knowledge to train and also operate the following, Meduim and light duty mechanics - farm |
| | equipment; Ability to operate heavy equipment - such as tractors, backhoe, bull dozer, 8 ton trucks, excavator |
| | - Teach mechanics/welding/steel fabrication/woodshop skills/survey work; Able to do some construction and teach others |
| | - Writing monthly progress reports in English on the development of the projects. |
