| | Friends in Action (FIA) – is seeking a worker for the position in Santo. This is a 2-3 year role to train others these skills and work your self out of a job. This role is for a volunteer willing to help FIA to build a road on Santo Island. |
| | Interested applicant must possess the following requirement: |
| | Criteria: |
| | - Must have a heart to help and willingness to communicate well with the Ni-Vans; Must be trust worthy; Have strong self initiative, and be highly motivated; Must have a minimum of 5 years work |
| | experience; Previous management or supervision of 3-8 workers; Good people skills |
| | - The ability to work well with people from various cultures, background, beliefs, and with government officials; Must know English fluently, required to learn bislama of not a Ni-Van; Willing to work |
| | 5.5 -6 days weekly, long hours, in rough remote locations; Willing to find your own sponsorship/support to live in Santo, Vanuatu (No wage will be provided, but a tax receipt will be send to your |
| | - Required to have a CDL or a license to operate a 3-8 ton truck; Previous experience in road construction, and earth moving equipment operator; Ability and knowledge to train and also operate the |
| | following, Run a bull dozer, an excavator, dump truck, backhoe, ability to operate a chainsaw effectively, train nationals on road construction, teach and carry out equipment services and maintenance. |
