| Chemonics seeks a community liaison specialist to engage community participation for the anticipated USAID-funded Coastal Community Adaptation Program. This five-year project will focus on responding to the challenges that climate change poses to the development and survival of the Pacific Islands. We are looking for individuals who have a |

| Responsibilities include: |
| 1) Work with local community leaders and members to ensure community buy-in and ownership |
| 2) Supervise a network of community mobilizers across the region to engage community participation in all phases of the program |
| 3) Conduct project awareness campaigns and host community-level events to engage dialogue and solicit input for project activities |
| 4) Interact with local government and community officials |
| 6) Provide cultural background and communications support. |
| Interested applicant must possess the following: |
| Criteria: |
| - Degree in relevant field, such as communications, anthropology, sociology, international studies, environmental management or other relevant field |
| - Experience living and/or working in the Pacific Islands |
| - At least five years of experience working on complex programs in a multinational regional setting with multiple program institutions |
| - Strong interpersonal, writing, and oral presentation skills |
| - Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity; Fluent English and at least one Pacific Island language required. |
