|  | CARE International In Vanuatu is looking for a Disaster Risk Reduction Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, to work in Port Vila office and to regularly travel to the islands of Futuna, Vanua Lava, Maewo and Santo Big Bay. | 
|  | Duties of this position include: | 
|  | 1) M&E System Strengthening: | 
|  | Ensure that relevant baseline information is collected and relevant indicators are developed for all activities in accordance with donor’s requirement | 
|  |  | 
|  | 2) M&E Capacity building & trainings: | 
|  | Conduct orientation for new staff on monitoring and evaluation concept and tools | 
|  |  | 
|  | 3) Stakeholders, partners and donors Coordination: | 
|  | Develop good relationships with all relevant government authorities, international organizations and non government organizations and CARE‘s partners according to the project activities and areas concerned | 
|  |  | 
|  | 4) M&E Reporting, filing system & tools: | 
|  | Develop a M&E database for monitoring qualitative and quantitative data collected at the field level. | 
|  |  |

|  | Interested applicant must possess the following: | 
|  | Criteria: | 
|  | - University degree or diploma related to this position (Humanitarian monitoring and evaluation program, natural disaster risk sciences, development studies, humanitarian program management); | 
|  | Minimum of 3 years working experience of monitoring and evaluation officer position preferably for an international non governmental humanitarian organization ( INGOs ) | 
|  | - Relevant experience of the use of participatory tools at community levels (PRA, VCA...) and facilitation skills; Proficient skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Photoshop; Very good english and | 
|  | bislama language and translation skills (written and oral) & french skills will be an asset | 
|  | - Open-minded, willing to learn, respectful towards all CARE staff; Respect of the principles, core values and internal procedures of the organization; A Vanuatu national. |
