| | The Ombudsman is re-advertising this post and invites applications for the Public Service post No.0906 for Principal Investigator. Applicant must fill the Public Service Job Application Form (PSC Form 3-2) that can be collected from the Office of the Ombudsman. Duties and responsibilities: |
| | 1) Under the delegation of the Ombudsman to assume responsibility over matters relating to the general administration of the Santo Office |
| | 2) Review the work of investigators to ensure it is of a high standard and cases are dealt with in an efficient manner |
| | 3) Meeting with investigators to assist them with problems and discuss matters of concern |
| | 4) Ensure Complaint Information Form (CIF) allocated to investigators is completed promptly |
| | 5) Review closing case summaries of investigations before forwarding them to the Ombudsman |
| | 6) Preparing Complaints Information Forms and work plan |
| | 7) Prepare and give press interviews on Public Reports after been issued by the Ombudsman |
| | Interested applicant must have the following requirements: |
| | Criteria: |
| | - University degree/ diploma from an accredited institution; 2 years experience in the office of the Ombudsman; Computer literate; Effective report writing skills; Good communication skills; Has knowledge and |
| | experience in investigation work; Effective management and supervisory skills |
| | - Has good ability to write letters, submissions and preparation of reports; Good command of English or French and Bislama; Good character. |

| | The salary will be based on the Public Service Salary Scale at 1,764,000 per annum |
