Rapid Electrical Vanuatu is seeking to recruit for an air-conditioning technician and Electrician.

Criteria:
Applicants must possess the following:
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in air conditioning and electrical
  • Good communication skills in English, Bislama and French
  • Can do air condition installation with minimum supervision
  • Carry out servicing for any type a/c unit
  • Troubleshooting and maintenance in air conditioning
  • Knowledge in electrical wiring and white good repairs will be an advantage
  • Valid and clean Vanuatu drivers license preferred.

        We are looking for a Water, Sanitation and Hygiene [WASH] Senior Officer Background to join our team based in Tanna with possible travel required to other sites.
        Your major responsibilities will be varied and will include:
        • Responsible for assisting with the design and implementation of water and sanitation activities
        • Responsible for facilitating Drinking Water Safety and Security Planning in communities, including water supply assessments, drinking water quality testing, risk mapping and report writing
        • Responsible for rehabilitating, constructing, or expanding rural water supply systems and sanitation facilities in Tafea Province
        • Supervises WASH officers in the day to day implementation of WASH activities especially during field activity
        • Working with the Participatory Hygiene and Sanitation Transformation (PHAST) team to ensure that hygiene promotion messages are disseminated and implemented in all WASH program activities.

                • Demonstrated awareness and sensitivity to the particular needs of women and other marginalised people in WASH
                • Ability to analyse intricate information and communicate/report on findings
                • Demonstrated high level organisational and time management skills, including the ability to plan and manage workflows and balance competing priorities to ensure timely processing to meet deadlines in a complex environment
                • Experience in supervising field teams
                • Demonstrated ability to take direction and to work as part of a team
                • Demonstrated experience in following international standards (e.g. SPHERE), policies, procedures and processes
                • A willingness to learn about CARE, gender equality and women’s empowerment activities
                • Proven ability in managing a budget and/or cash and
                • Intermediate (very good) in Microsoft Office with knowledge in Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel, intermediate numeric skills.
