CARE’s entry into Vanuatu began with building the resilience of remote and vulnerable communities to the impacts of natural disasters and climate change. CARE Vanuatu’s programs, funded by AusAID and the EU, have reached 19 remote communities across four provinces: Penama, |
| Torba, Sanma and Tafea. In 2013, CARE consolidated its activities in the province of Tafea with a focus on the remote outer islands of Futuna, Aniwa and Erromango. CARE is continuing its work on building the resilience of remote and vulnerable communities to the impacts of natural disasters and climate change and is planning additional programming on women’s empowerment in the |

| As a member of the CARE Vanuatu team, the FIELD OFFICER will: |
| Work under the direction of the Field Coordinator to ensure the effective implementation of disaster risk reduction and community based adaptation activities, monitoring and reporting. |
