Job Desctiption:

HYERARCHY
- Report to Operation Manger on operational topic
- Report to Technical manager on Navigation and technical topics

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Ship Operation Management:
- Ensure operational leadership of the LCM, overseeing safe Loading, Carrying, and unloading operations in compliance with maritime regulations and company safety rules.
- Make informed decisions to ensure the effectiveness of operations, considering weather conditions, safe carrying and sailing and safe beaching.
- Under the supervision of Operation Manager, ensure loading is carried out on time and according to the planning. Share inputs and remarks to Operation Manager.

2. Supervision of Deck Crew:
- Lead and supervise the deck crew, including officers and seamen, ensuring tasks are appropriately assigned and safety and performance standards are upheld.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging ongoing training and professional development of the crew.

3. Maintenance of ship at Berth:
- Supervise and coordinate maintenance operations of the LCM when alongside collaborating with the Chief Engineer to carry out preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Ensure that all systems are regularly inspected, lubricated, and repaired according to manufacturer's requirements and safety standards.
- Make sure all Navigation equipment is working properly and refer to Technical manager and Chief Engineer if any update or repair is to be conducted.

4. Navigation and Safety Equipment Maintenance:
- Ensure proper functioning and maintenance of navigation, communication, and safety equipment on the ship, including radars, radios, alarm systems, and life-saving equipment.
- Plan and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance operations to ensure consistent availability of essential equipment.
- Prepare and review weather forecast  when establishing voyage planning to ensure a safe sail.
- Review and make sure all crew members documentation is onboard and up to date and that crew list is updated.

5. Coordination, Communication, and Directive Adherence:
- Work closely with Operation and Technical management to coordinate ship operations in alignment with company objectives.
- Maintain regular communication with management, adhering to established directives and policies while reporting activities and outcomes.

6. Emergency Management:
- Be prepared to react effectively in emergency situations, such as navigation incidents, extreme weather conditions, or rescue operations.
- Lead the crew in implementing emergency procedures and safety plans, prioritizing the safety of the crew, vessel, and environment.

Master 200GT License
Advanced courses
Safety Certificate
Security Certificate
Seamans Book
Near coastal and international experience
Strong Management skills
Minimum of 2 years of experience in the position
