Job Desctiption:
To monitor and track progress of new stock being ordered, in transit and received from numerous international suppliers.
Duties & tasks:
• Create purchase orders for incoming stock
• Liaise with suppliers and forwarders via email and phone to obtain required shipping documents
• Maintain and manage reports of purchasing and pricing
• Verify stock received against purchase orders and invoices
• Build and maintain working relationships with local authorities and agents
Selection Criteria:
• Experience in a similar role is preferred
• Have a general understanding of both sea and airfreight
• Be Familiar with shipping terms and supply chain procedures
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Computer literate and the ability to work with system databases
• Attention to detail
• A team player that works well and respects others
