Job Desctiption:
Purpose of Position 
  Messy Haos seeks an enthusiastic, creative, and highly organized individual to  manage the design and implementation of educational curriculum, programs and  activities. The Education and Program Director will report to the Managing  Director, but have autonomy over educational decisions. Financial decisions to  be make in consultation with the Operations Manager and Managing Director.. They  will manage program development and ensure consistent delivery of quality  programs, lead professional development workshops to create a strong locally run  team, develop partnerships with community organizations, school leaders, and  families to strengthen relationships and programs. Attractive holiday package  and flexible working hours. Full time or Part Time depending on skill set.
Selection Criteria:
EXPERIENCE 
  
  •	2+ years experience working in schools, museums, recreational centres or  arts education in a leadership role.
  •	Demonstrated competency in early childhood education, science, literacy  and/or visual arts with children from birth to age 10 and their families
  •	5+ years experience developing and implementing lesson plans, as well as  maintaining program budgets.
  •	2+ years experience mentoring educators and staff who are early in their  career.
  
  
  KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  •	Excellent written and communication skills, preferably in English: French or  Bislama advantageous
  •	Excellent organizational skills, including an ability to multitask and  proactively follow through on projects.
  •	Compassionate and patient
  •	Demonstrated excellent rapport with child and families
  •	Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
  •	Values teamwork and diversity
  •	Works independently with little or no supervision; effectively manages  assigned staff and programs
  
  QUALIFICATIONS
  •	Bachelor's degree in Education, Museum Studies, Arts Education, Child  Development, or related field; Masters preferred 
  •	Valid First Aid and CPR Certificates are a plus (required)
  •	Must obtain police clearance (locally if a Vanuatu resident, internationally  if not a citizen or resident)
