Stop Press Limited is the leading wholesale and retail
stationery shop in Vanuatu having shops in Central Downtown, Inside Au Bon
Marche Nambatu and its superstore at Champagne Estates, Port Vila.
We are looking for a Head Cashier to take over the responsibilities of
processing customer transactions, helping to train new Cashiers and managing
customer service in our store. We’re looking for a motivated and highly
organized professional with retail cashier experience and an excellent head for
numbers. He or she will build
rapport with our team and report to the Manager Administration.
The Head Cashier major responsibilities will include the following:
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain
a positive work environment for all Cashiers
- Resolve cash tills at the end of every shift
- Generate accurate till reports for each register
- Manage and perform all check-out functions on a daily basis
- Communicate
clearly and openly with customers
- Manage the check-out area and ensure each station remains clean and efficiently
run
- Respond to Cashiers’ requests for price checks and other functions for customer
service
- Listen to customer complaints and questions and refer them to the Manager Admin
when required
- Ensure all stations have adequate cash and change at all times
- Serve as the primary point-of-contact for customer service associates.
Criteria:
- High
school diploma required
- 5+ years’ experience in cash handling and customer service
- High level of responsibility, leadership skills and organization
- Ability
to efficiently run all cashier stations
- Willingness to recruit and train Cashiers.
