The Program 
The Roads for development program (R4D) is a 15-year commitment of support by the Government of Australia to the Government of Vanuatu through the Ministry of Infrastructure and Public Utilities (MIPU). The program seeks to improve rural road infrastructures as well as develop capacity in the Public works Department (PWD) to plan, manage and report on infrastructure resources. 
 
The Position 
The purpose of the role is to provide administrative, financial and reporting support to the program. 
In addition to providing day to day support for the team, the role would have a key focus with the development and implementation of a communication plan, including preparation of communication materials. 
Reporting to the Team Leader, this position will offer a broad range of duties, however the main responsibilities will include: 
Ensure all staff are aware of the programs administrative procedures and that they are adhered to. This includes the programs human resource and reporting proceduresAssist to develop and implement a programme Communication Strategy Carryout a range of finance and accounts related activities, including accounts payable, reconciliations, cash flow management and budgeting Provide logistical support to the team by arranging all travel and ensuring the project vehicles are serviced and well maintained Coordinate meetings and workshops, which will include preparing and distributing the relevant documentsSupport the program's IT and communications. This include liaising with the program's  external IT provider and assisting in the updating of the program's internet siteEnsure the programs filing systems are maintained in line with the programs proceduresTravel to provinces on an as needs basis to support program activities. 
Criteria: 
The person we are seeking 
Working in a close team environment, you will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, professional presentation and a strong work ethic, with a focus on detail and time management. 
In particular, the successful applicant will possess the following: 
Administrative experience such as preparation of minutes, external correspondence, management of filing systems and writing reportsDemonstrated experience in developing communication materials would be highly desirablePractical experience with finance systems and accounting processes Ability to demonstrate an intermediate to advanced working knowledge of MS OfficeCommunicating effectively at all levels of management and with external clientsHold a Drivers Licence.

The position is 12 months, with some flexibility to be undertaken on a part-time basis. An attractive salary package will be offered based on experience. |
